Playa Colorada

Playa Colorada (Reddish Beach in Spanish) on the Caribbean coast, between Puerto La Cruz and Cumana, within the National Park Mochima, is located one of the most important tourist destinations in Venezuela.

A small fishing village, it is truly Latino in its feel. The beach is famous, and a photo of it is in almost every guidebook about Venezuela.

In front of Playa is the 32 islands of which offers beaches and gulfs, bays and coves and lovely sea beds populated by colonies of corals thrusting up into islands or steep rocky isles. Narrow valleys stretch along the mountainous area of the mainland sector. The site is ideal for diving, swimming, sports fishing, camping and hiking.
